Job Summary

The Senior Talent Advisor leads full-lifecycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of positions while serving as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leaders. This role partners closely with stakeholders to build effective talent acquisition strategies, deliver exceptional candidate experience, and identify practitioners who align with Orbis' mission, technical bar, and culture.

The Senior Talent Advisor manages the end-to-end recruitment process; from proactive sourcing through offer negotiation, offer acceptance and onboarding support. This role will leverage market insights, data and recruiting best practices to influence hiring decisions and continuously improve outcomes.

NOTE : This is not a transactional recruiting role. This role requires consultative and advisory support across the organization. Clear strategy, positive influencing, concise communication are valuable success factors in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for exempt and non-exempt positions across multiple business functions, including technical/non-technical, cleared/non-cleared and mission-support roles.
• Partner with business/hiring managers to understand business needs, define position requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders on talent market trends, hiring best practices, interview techniques, and competitive compensation considerations.
• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, networking events, social media, employee referrals, and direct outreach to build diverse (active/passive) talent pipelines.
• Screen resumes, conduct candidate interviews, and assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
• Present qualified candidate recommendations and provide consultative guidance throughout the selection process.
• Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Lead offer development, negotiations, and closing activities in partnership with hiring managers and TA Director.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Monitor recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline health, and hiring manager satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies throughout the hiring process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and talent communities.
• Support employer branding initiatives and represent Orbis at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences as needed.
• Contribute to talent acquisition process improvements, projects, and initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and candidate experience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle talent acquisition experience in a corporate, agency, or blended recruiting environment i.e., Government Contracting and Public/Private Sector.
• Demonstrated success recruiting for professional, technical, non-technical, cleared/non-cleared, and senior management level positions.
• Experience supporting recruitment across multiple business functions or geographic locations (CONOUS / OCONUS)
• Experience recruiting in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
• Experience partnering with hiring managers and business leaders to develop strong recruiting strategies and influence hiring decisions.
• Strong sourcing capabilities utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards (clearance jobs, indeed etc.), networking events, and other talent identification tools.
• Experience using various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting tools e.g. Greenhouse.
• Excellent interviewing, relationship management, negotiation, and consultative communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of employment laws, equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements, and recruitment compliance practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite products.
• High levels of emotional intelligence, active listening, clear/concise communication skills, and integrity.
• Travel: 0 - 10% for career fairs and networking events, based on business needs.

Desired Qualifications

• Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or a Talent Acquisition specialty certification.
• Hands on Greenhouse ATS experience
• Experience with talent market intelligence, workforce planning, and recruitment analytics.
• Familiarity with employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives.
• Experience implementing or improving recruiting processes and leveraging technology to increase efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to build long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions, including technical/non-technical, cleared/non-cleared or mission-critical roles.

Orbis Locations

Orbis works in whatever arrangement the mission requires. Depending on the role, that might mean five days a week on a customer site, full-time in one of our offices, a hybrid schedule, or fully remote work — our team is spread across 25 states and four countries to match. We make sure every team member has the tools and access needed to do the work, wherever that work happens.

Travel is common across many Orbis roles, particularly those supporting customer missions in the field.
