What you'll do

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• 2 year or Associate Degree in Security or Law Enforcement, preferred
  • May be substituted for one year of experience

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years as a Security officer in a public or private security force, or two years active military service with Honorable Discharge, required
• Completion of official police or peace officer training academy, preferred
  • This training may replace some required certifications

License/ Certification:

• Must possess a valid NYS Class D driver's license and maintain eligibility of insurability to operate the organization's vehicles, required
• NYS Pistol Permit, required
• NYS Armed Security Guard License or NYS Certified Police/Peace Officer, required
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire, required
• Aerosol Subject Restraint (Pepper Spray), required
  • Completion of official police or peace officer training academy may substitute

Physical Requirements:

• Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Occasional climbing and typing/clerical/dexterity
• Frequent: balancing, crouching, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, talking, walking, seeing/monitor/computer use, visual acuity (color, depth, perception).
• Constant fit testing

Hazards:

• Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, burns, chemical, electrical, explosive, mechanical, radiation/radiant energy

Working Conditions:

• Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, fumes, gases, mists, odors.

Travel:

• Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.


Pay Range Minimum:

USD $22.40/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:

USD $33.61/Hr.
