Operations Manager

Manager, Labor RelationsThe Hiring Manager is looking for a candidate with strong grievance management experience who can hit the ground running with minimal training. Practical labor relations experience is more important than educational background. Required Experience Grievance management from intake through resolution. Experience working directly with unions. Conducting Step 1 and Step 2 grievance meetings. Labor contract administration. Knowledge of union grievance procedures and processes. Preferred: Arbitration experience. Ability to work independently and manage complex employee relations matters. Key Reminder Grievance management experience is the top priority and a required qualification for this role.Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experienceProficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPointDesired Characteristics:Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsStrong administrative skills, including attention to detail and organizationAbility to manage high-volume and time-sensitive workloadAbility to handle extremely sensitive and confidential information with discretionExperience drafting, negotiating, and working with union contractsAbility to work independently with legal, business, and HR teamsAdditional Requirements:Must be willing to work in Universal City, CAThis position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any timeResponsibilities:Advise internal clients, including management and human resources, regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and/or assigned topicsAdvise internal clients regarding discipline of union employees, including just cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representationResponsible for handling union grievances through arbitration phase as assignedServes as the initial point of contact for union inquiries and concerns; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses, facilitate labor-management meetingsSupport and execute union contract administrationSupport collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting as assignedProvide training to HR and managers on assigned topicsProvide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed
