The successful candidate will operate in a telehealth setting, providing flexibility and comfort in delivering mental health services. Key Responsibilities

• Participate in community engagement initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness, empowering birthing individuals and families within the community.
• Engage in clinical consultations and interdisciplinary learning opportunities, enhancing your professional development while supporting team collaboration.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation accurately and promptly to maintain compliance and ensure quality of care.
• Deliver direct services that include behavioral health assessments, personalized counseling, and comprehensive case management tailored specifically for Black birthing families.
• Collaborate with prenatal care team members, including physicians, midwives, doulas, and lactation educators, to ensure a seamless and integrated care experience.
• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups in conjunction with a qualified birth worker, fostering a strong support network for families.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall goals of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on supporting Black birthing families, providing culturally sensitive mental health care that addresses the unique challenges they face. Your expertise will help clients navigate the emotional and psychological aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum life, ensuring they receive both the professional assistance and the empathy needed during these crucial times.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
• Holders of an active license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse and multicultural teams and clients.
• Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for managing a flexible caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting while maintaining professionalism across all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in maternal mental health, particularly with birthing families, is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in using telehealth technologies and platforms for service delivery.
• Background or training related to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in mental health contexts.

Compensation and Benefits

Connect Serenity Counseling Services, Inc. offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 for this full-time position. Benefits include:
