Duties

If you are selected as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to:

• Establishing internal procedures to secure adequate control in terms of deadlines, progress reports, directives, and uses own initiative in developing procedures, which will increase the general flow of information and overcome bottlenecks in the administrative process.
• Directing testing and training of personnel on new automated forms and provides recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinating assigned functions with managers/supervisors to discuss work-related changes affecting their organization and providing recommendations on possible implementations; directives and policy documents to appropriate stakeholders and coordinates further discussions of proposed policies as needed
• Disseminating proposed revisions to directives and policy documents to appropriate stakeholders and coordinates further discussions of proposed policies as needed.
• Researching policy and OIG documents for historical responses and tracks the OIG's response.
• Updating OIG leadership Org Charts and coordinates with the Office of Communications to post updates to the OIG external web site. Maintains a variety of databases to store management information that is useful in making agency decisions and for inclusion into reports submitted to various levels of agency management.
• Developing and establishing performance standards, and evaluates employee performance, mentors, develops and recognizes employees. Interviews and selects candidates for subordinate positions.
• Acting as Chair for the OIG's Administrative Officer meetings for cross-divisional collaboration.
• Advising staff of changes in assignments, which affect the completeness and efficiency of the assignment and/or project.

Qualifications

Probationary Information: As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Upon completion of your probationary period OR trial period your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

Specialized Experience: To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level obtained in the public or private sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.) Examples of specialized experience include such duties as:

1. Providing senior-level leadership and oversight of multiple administrative programs, evaluating performance data, analyzing complex information, and reconciling discrepancies.
2. Serving as key advisor to senior leadership on administrative policies, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and strategic resource management.
3. Developing and presenting executive briefings, reports, and recommendations that influence organizational policy and programs.
4. Supervising a cross-functional team directing, planning, organizing, and providing day-to-day operational directions to subordinate staff
5. Exercising supervisory authority over professional, administrative, and support staff, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee development, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing work environment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade level (or equivalent).
