Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist with two immediate full-time openings onsite just outside the Meriden, CT area. Both contract positions offer a chance to make a significant impact in either a high school or middle school environment, engaging in meaningful psychological services and student evaluations.

The first position serves at a local high school, starting as soon as possible and extending through May 2027, with potential to continue for the remainder of the academic year. The second, newly established, opening is in a middle school setting and runs through March 30, 2027—ideal for professionals seeking to leave their mark on a fresh initiative.

Qualifications:

Valid and current School Psychologist licensure and certification for Connecticut
Previous school-based practice is required
Proficient in evaluation administration, PPT reporting, and supporting educational teams
Able to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and advocate for student needs
Comfortable with technology and documentation in a school setting
Available for full-time (35 hours per week), contract role, working onsite
Ready for virtual (Zoom) interview as the initial step

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct student assessments and evaluations onsite
Prepare and present PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reports
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development
Develop and monitor individualized education plans
Participate in intervention planning and crisis response, as needed
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate
