Medical Billing Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Supervisor to lead a team responsible for accounts receivable and insurance follow-up operations. This role oversees daily workflows, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, and drives performance to meet productivity and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily AR and insurance follow-up operations
• Assign and monitor team workloads to meet productivity and quality standards
• Perform production and quality audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of billing and claims issues
• Create and maintain reports to track team performance and AR metrics
• Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and healthcare regulations
• Assist with payer fee schedule loading and auditing
• Develop, update, and maintain departmental policies and workflows
• Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical claims and accounts receivable
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of Medicare guidelines and healthcare claims regulations
• Experience working in a healthcare AR or revenue cycle environment
• Familiarity with EMR systems and billing platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Experience improving workflows and implementing process changes
• Knowledge of payer contracts and fee schedules

Work Environment

• Office-based role with standard business equipment
• Occasional travel to medical offices may be required
