Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, providing flexibility while allowing you to maintain a connection with our outpatient office team. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While these hours generally offer a structured schedule, some flexibility will be required to accommodate the varying needs of patients, ensuring access to timely care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, which in turn informs individual treatment planning.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the cultural and personal backgrounds of diverse patients, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing an approach that encourages resilience and promotes overall mental health and well-being.

• Engage with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and emergency support when necessary, demonstrating keen judgement and expert therapeutic skills.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health challenges and available community resources to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Maintain meticulously accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards.

• Actively partake in case conferences, team discussions, and cultural competency training, promoting a team-based approach to care.

• Stay well-informed of current research and best practices in mental health treatment, especially focusing on culturally relevant care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist in this role will work predominantly with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants facing unique challenges. Understanding and respecting cultural nuances will be integral to building rapport and promoting effective therapeutic relationships. Through your work, you will directly contribute to the mental health of underrepresented populations and foster an inclusive environment where all patients feel welcome and valued.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to practice in the state of Georgia.

• Strong grasp of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and cultural competence in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy with a focus on diverse and inclusive practices.

• Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques, particularly in high-stress situations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective connection with clients from varying cultural backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
\n
• A commitment to ethical standards of practice, including maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• A collaborative spirit, able to work proactively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly with populations facing cultural and systemic barriers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
