Exciting opportunity available for a talented Special Education Teacher to step into a supportive contract position working with kindergarten students. This assignment is designed to cover a maternity leave and will run through the end of January. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for the appropriate grade level
• Experience creating and implementing IEPs for early childhood or kindergarten students
• Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated teaching
• Strong communication and organizational skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Flexibility and empathy when supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to kindergarten students in a special education setting
• Assess students’ abilities, track progress, and adjust teaching plans accordingly
• Collaborate regularly with support staff, general educators, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district guidelines and meet deadlines for progress reports and IEP meetings
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and creative classroom atmosphere that supports all students’ growth
