Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator

Contract Type: Full-Time Direct Hire (W2), or part-time

Salary: $17/hr-$21/hr, depending on experience

Location: Novi, MI

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Welcome patients, manage check-in and checkout, answer calls, schedule and confirm appointments, and keep demographic and insurance information accurate.
• Verify coverage, collect authorized patient payments and reconcile your work carefully.
• Support records requests, referral tracking and patient portal access using established privacy procedures.

Support care beyond the office:

• Coordinate house-call appointments with patients, families and facilities; communicate schedule changes and maintain current contact information.
• Route clinical questions and urgent concerns promptly using the practice's escalation process.
• This is an administrative coordination role, not independent clinical triage or medical advice.

What you bring:

• Courtesy that holds up on a busy day, careful handling of schedules and money, clear written and spoken communication, and willingness to ask questions.
• Medical reception, primary care, home health, hospice or senior-care experience is helpful.
• CGM APRIMA experience is a plus; training is available.
• Relevant customer-service experience is also considered.

Schedule and development:

• Weekday office hours, with the specific schedule agreed before hire.
• Qualified nursing, pre-health and gap-year students are welcome; part-time flexibility depends on reliable coverage of agreed hours.
• Development may include referral coordination, lead scheduling or EHR super-user responsibilities.
• No clinical duties are assigned without appropriate training and authorization.
