Work Environment\n

Our work environment is designed to promote flexibility and support personal growth. As a remote position, it allows you to manage your time effectively while connecting with clients via telehealth platforms and phone sessions. However, our outpatient office in Bakersfield provides a collaborative space for in-person team meetings and training sessions to facilitate ongoing learning and peer support. Your regular working hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring you maintain a balanced work-life ratio.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the needs of clients.

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and periodically review client progress to ensure effectiveness of treatment strategies.

• Document clinical notes and treatment progress using our electronic health record (EHR) system, meeting all compliance and regulatory standards.

• Engage in regular team consultations and supervision sessions, contributing to case discussions and receiving feedback to enhance your therapeutic skills.

• Identify and refer clients to external services, such as community resources or psychiatrist consultations, when their treatment needs exceed your scope.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients presenting a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our approach emphasizes culturally competent care, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients. Qualifications\n

• A valid AMFT, ASW, or APCC license in the state of California is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Proficiency in outpatient treatment models and an understanding of community mental health resources.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage with clients effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain clear and concise documentation and progress notes.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a counseling role, particularly within a community mental health or outpatient setting, is preferred.

• Experience with telehealth technologies and electronic health record systems.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
