Overview Energy Services Account Executive for Trane. Primary driver for financial and sustainability‑driven solution sales opportunities. Responsible for identifying and qualifying new business and developing strategic customer relationships with public and private sector customers seeking value and outcome‑based solutions. Responsibilities Develop and manage process for discovering client business needs and aligning with solutions. Evaluate projects and align process/solutions. Work directly and indirectly with clients on projects to confirm structured finance solutions. Client discovery & qualification. Work with client executives to develop financial pro‑forma & business case(s). Convert leads into opportunities by assigning appropriate sales process, identifying required project team members, making assignments, and communicating next steps. Understand macro market & finance trends and inform current offerings/projects. Monitor and engage clients to establish creative financial solutions that enhance/expand projects. Engage with regional sales & leadership teams to develop/optimize strategies on priority projects. Stay abreast of current finance trends for emerging offerings and apply to current projects. Maintain market‑oriented external relationships to support full set of offerings. Establish and advance Trane’s thought leadership in focus markets. Establish key indicators to align/& develop tailored offerings and close large deals or sales opportunities, consistently achieving quota targets and building, maintaining, and growing a multi‑million‑dollar pipeline. Provide knowledge and consultation to customers on financial drivers, legislation, and requirements for energy and outcome‑based sales. Maintain active relationships with regional energy services sales leaders & CSAEs. Support pipeline growth & project size with creative/accretive structured finance approaches. Maintain visible & active sales/project funnel using software tools. Work collaboratively with cross‑functional internal team to create system‑related solutions for customers’ challenges and opportunities, including financial and performance considerations. Travel to customer job sites as required, including outdoor work and exposure to variable weather conditions, mechanical parts, heights, etc. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree or 4‑8 years of demonstrated executive selling experience; preferred. 5+ years of executive sales experience, preferably within the MUSH market (municipal, utility, healthcare, education). Documented success in financial sales with long, complex, multi‑tiered sales cycles in public and/or private sectors. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, influencers, and key decision makers. Expertise in financial, legal, and technical aspects of deal structuring within multi‑buying environments. Outstanding communication skills – able to educate clients about Trane’s Design Build & Energy Services offerings, persuasively articulating costs, savings, investment opportunities, and long‑term options for infrastructure renewal and decarbonization. Valid driver’s license in state, no major/frequent violations. Compensation Base salary range: $145,856.66 – $248,200.00. Salary only; no incentive, but eligible for sales commission. Safety‑sensitive role may require additional drug screening.
