Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in our centralized rehabilitation facility, designed to provide a comprehensive range of orthopedic services. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts over 5,000 square feet dedicated to outpatient physical therapy, equipped with advanced technologies that support therapeutic practices. You will collaborate closely with a small team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) to deliver the highest standard of care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the unique objectives and therapeutic needs of each patient to create customized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care.
• Utilize your previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings to develop effective, cost-efficient therapies that improve patients' mobility.
• Implement non-invasive treatment options aimed at improving function and reducing reliance on medication.
• Design and execute comprehensive treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Create individualized fitness and wellness programs that cater specifically to each patient's recovery goals.
• Provide motivational support to enhance patient engagement and facilitate optimal recovery outcomes.
• Promote healthy lifestyle habits by improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, maintaining clear and precise documentation of services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patient demographic often includes individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for a focus on delivering quality and comprehensive care. The complexity of cases will vary, providing you with the opportunity to leverage your skills in diverse therapeutic environments.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Skilled in designing and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to varying patient needs.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is desired. An established record of delivering substantial patient outcomes, alongside proficiency in implementing innovative therapy practices, will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
