Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation facility, designed to provide an engaging and supportive atmosphere for both our patients and staff. You will collaborate closely with a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication. With a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, this role allows for a balanced work-life integration while meeting the urgent needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical conditions and capabilities to establish personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver hands-on therapy sessions, typically maintaining a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused and quality care.
• Leverage evidence-based methodologies to enhance patient outcomes in the areas of pain management, mobility, and rehabilitation.
• Proactively develop wellness and fitness programs tailored to individual patient needs, promoting recovery and long-term health.
• Engage in patient education regarding therapeutic exercise and healthy lifestyle choices to encourage active participation in their recovery journey.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to document treatment provided and monitor patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Evaluate treatment efficacy and adjust care plans as needed while maintaining open lines of communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Document all aspects of patient care with thoroughness and accuracy to support ongoing care needs and legal compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population consists of individuals with private medical insurance who are experiencing orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The clinic's environment emphasizes personalized care, enabling patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals through specialized therapy techniques and motivational support.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no lapses or disciplinary actions related to the license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient conditions.
• Competence in utilizing EMR technology, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient management and documentation efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally focusing on rehabilitative therapy for musculoskeletal conditions.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as dry needling or McKenzie Method, are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
