Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for clients, focusing on rehabilitating physical impairments through evidence-based practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical strengths and weaknesses, followed by adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the delivery of effective therapeutic interventions that align with clients' care plans.
• Facilitate the administration of therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities such as traction and massage, tailored to individual client needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to communicate patient progress and propose modifications to treatment plans effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about home exercise programs and assistive devices, fostering independence and understanding.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights into patient care strategy and assessment.
• Evaluate the home environment and recommend adaptations to facilitate rehabilitation efforts and enhance autonomy.
• Stay current with the latest developments in physical therapy, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse client population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Active and unrestricted physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care with integrity and accountability.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication and rapport-building with patients and colleagues.
