Financial & Procurement Program Lead (Telework Eligible)

Summary This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Omaha and St. Louis Divisions. The position’s primary purpose is to support the Business Operations Program (BOP) within the respective DEA Domestic Division. The incumbent will serve as the Financial and Procurement Unit (FPU) Chief and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of financial and procurement activities. Responsibilities Providing proactive management and oversight of Financial and Procurement Unit (FPU) level Business Operations Program (BOP) activities and/or functions. Executing and implementing at the Division level operating policies and procedures to support the financial and procurement goals and objectives. Appraising and evaluating the results of overall financial operations regularly and systematically reporting to the Business Operations Manager. Collaborating and implementing short- and long-range budgetary plans to support the Division’s goals and objectives. Providing mentoring as a cornerstone of the career development program. Qualifications Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, managing, and executing the functions and activities of a financial program for an organization, including instructing others on financial management execution. Providing expert advice and guidance on the interpretation of financial and budget laws, regulations, policies and procedures to leadership, customers, and subordinates. Advising on contract policies and procedures. Monitoring obligations and expenditures of an organization’s program. Time-In-Grade Requirement Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
