Details 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center Cares for adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock Attendings and Residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day Night shift schedule (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) with every other weekend required 36 or 48 hour options available Night shift does not rotate Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas Uses EPIC EMR Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted AHA BLS and ACLS certification required 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU Telemetry competency required, including ability to read tele strips Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide direct patient care to a diverse adult ICU population with high acuity needs Collaborate with attendings and residents present in the unit around the clock Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston Free on-site parking available American Traveler Job ID P-742812.
