Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on the geropsychiatric unit, including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and timely reporting of changes in patient conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and safety per physician orders
• Complete and maintain accurate medical histories, mental and physical assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team; participate in daily groups, 1:1 interactions, and milieu-based activities
• Coordinate nursing care activities, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians, therapists, social workers, and external agencies to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active State of New Hampshire RN license
• BLS certification required
• Education: Associate degree or diploma from a 3-year nursing program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience: 1 year nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work on a hospital-based psychiatric/geropsychiatric unit and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
