This key-holding supervisory role supports store leadership in managing donations, inventory, and day-to-day operations that keep the ReStore running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Research, accurately ticket, and safely move merchandise to the sales floor in a timely manner Collaborate with store leadership on priorities, timing, and placement of incoming donations Supervise donation drivers during loading/unloading activities Ensure safe handling of merchandise according to policies and procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient store environment Independently open and close the store and perform cash handling procedures Operate the cash register as needed and complete accurate reports and end-of-day documentation Provide constructive feedback, encouragement, and motivation to staff, volunteers, and team members Demonstrate a positive, respectful, and professional attitude with all customers, donors, volunteers, and staff What We’re Looking For Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment Experience with inventory, merchandising, or supervisory responsibilities is a plus Commitment to excellent customer service and a mission‑driven workplace Qualifications Education & Skills Basic computer skills Basic math or POS experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Management and customer service experience Show initiative Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to move merchandise throughout the store Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis Ability to climb steps to forklift cab Internal Interactions Habitat Staff External Interactions Customers Volunteers Donors Homeowners Level of Authority Requires minimal supervision Ability to engage and motivate staff as well as hold team members accountable in conjunction with store management Report to the Store Manager Estimated Time Commitment 40+ hours per week.
