IT / Infrastructure Project Manager

The infrastructure of information technology is comprised of hardware systems, software, network connections and servers. Growth within the team means that we are looking for an IT / Infrastructure Project Manager to manage various IT infrastructure needs of the organization. This role requires solid infrastructure skills to ensure credibility and to manage multiple work streams and complex projects. Candidates must have a technical background and understand infrastructure foundations of a complex environments. This is a project management role that will be managing multiple projects and multiple environments. Candidate should be familiar with the details in the setup of those environments (software, standard installs, VMs, custom software configurations) for both local and in remote locations.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of IT PMO experience
• Bachelor's degree in technology, finance, business, or equivalent experience required
• Project governance certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) required
• PMP Preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc., including diction/terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediums.
• Previous experience managing projects related to hardware systems, software, network connections and servers.
• Familiarity with the details in the setup of software, standard installs, VMs and custom software configurations for both local and in remote locations.

Accountabilities:

• Monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion
• Creation of project schedules for assigned initiatives
• Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting and troubleshooting.
• Prepares cost estimates; manages complex budget; planning & forecasting
• Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost
• Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions
• Actively manage a critical path which allows for a line of sight into risk/issues before they have project/program impact
• Identifies and mitigates risks
• Ensures timely issue resolution; escalates issues as appropriate
• Solves a range of routine problems
• Demonstrates proficiency with concepts and processes
• Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
