Assistant Manager Job Description

Since 1972, Cousins Subs has been serving up better subs and a better place to work.

We’re looking for leaders who have the desire to learn and grow with future dreams of managing their own restaurant. This is a salaried, full-time role requiring open availability and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do

- Be on the floor 80–90% of the time—making subs, running the line, supporting the team

- Open or close the store (bread baking starts as early as 6 AM, closing until 11 PM)

- Help manage schedules, inventory, and training

- Step in for the GM when needed

- Make sure the store meets quality, service, and cleanliness standards

- Handle guest complaints professionally

- Follow food safety and health code standards
