Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience handling management-side employment law litigation and providing day-to-day legal counsel to technology companies. This role involves advising on employment law issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, and employment mobility matters, as well as navigating employment-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Duties: Litigate employment law cases on behalf of management, including disputes related to terminations, leaves of absence, and policy issues. Provide day-to-day legal advice to fast-growing technology companies on various aspects of employment law, including reviewing and drafting company policies. Counsel clients on employment mobility issues such as trade secrets, non-compete agreements, and employee non-solicitation matters. Advise clients on employment-related issues during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Draft and review employment-related agreements and documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Represent clients in employment-related disputes and regulatory matters before state and federal agencies. Stay current with developments in employment law and provide strategic guidance based on evolving legal standards. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling. Strong academic credentials and exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience advising technology companies is preferred. Membership in the California State Bar is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage complex employment law issues and provide practical legal solutions. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications: Membership in the California State Bar (preferred). Skills: Extensive knowledge of employment law and litigation procedures. Proficiency in advising on employment-related issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, and employment mobility. Strong drafting and reviewing skills for employment-related documents and policies. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with clients and provide strategic legal counsel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
