TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current specialty experience License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required. - Oncology experience preferred, but not required. Description: This position involves floating to various Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units as needed. The role requires ensuring staff safety in a secure corrections environment. You will need to provide care for patients with active oncology diagnoses and other medical conditions. The patient population will consist of adults and geriatrics, including those with complex health needs. You will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to emergencies. Your duties will include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of central and peripheral lines. You will be involved in administering medications, including blood products and chemotherapy protocols. Additional tasks include managing feeding tubes and providing pre/post-hemodialysis care. You will work under the guidance of various interdisciplinary support teams for optimal patient care. Qualifications include maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio in a demanding environment. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including weekend shifts based on unit needs. This position is in a locked corrections environment that requires adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must complete all necessary credentialing swiftly. References from professional management or supervisory roles are required.
