In-Home Improvement Sales Consultant 

Location: Tampa Bay, FL. Field-based position serving customers throughout the greater Tampa Bay area. Regular travel to customers' homes is required.

From roofing, windows, and doors to sunrooms, screen enclosures, outdoor living spaces, and full remodeling, we help homeowners improve, protect, and enjoy their properties. We are growing our sales team and looking for motivated professionals who know how to turn opportunities into results.

We are hiring confident, driven In-Home Home Improvement Sales Consultants to conduct residential consultations, present customized project solutions, and close high-value contracts. This is a full-time, 100% commission-based opportunity designed for experienced in-home sales professionals with a hunter mentality. Company-provided appointments are available, but top performers will also actively build their own pipelines through referrals, networking, canvassing, and other prospecting activities.

Our sales process is built around one-call closing. Representatives are expected to understand the homeowner's needs, present a compelling solution, address concerns, and ask for the business during the initial appointment. The successful candidate will consistently follow the company's sales process and work toward maintaining a closing rate of at least 30%.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations for roofing, sunrooms, screen rooms, windows, doors, remodeling, and outdoor living projects.
• Evaluate homeowners' needs and recommend appropriate design and home improvement solutions.
• Explain project options, pricing, financing, and the value of working with 7 Diamond Builders.
• Deliver accurate, professional, and persuasive sales presentations.
• Follow a structured one-call closing process and confidently ask for the sale.
• Work toward achieving or exceeding a 30% closing rate.
• Obtain signed contracts and the required 50% customer deposit on completed sales.
• Contact a sales manager for a turnover consultation before leaving an appointment that has not closed.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and customers when additional communication is required.
• Generate new business through referrals, networking, local canvassing, and independent prospecting.
• Maintain accurate records of appointments, customer communications, proposals, and sales activity.
• Communicate clearly with internal production and administrative teams to ensure smooth project handoffs.
• Travel throughout the assigned Tampa Bay territory for scheduled appointments.
• Represent the company with professionalism, confidence, honesty, and a polished appearance.

Qualifications

• At least two years of successful in-home sales experience is required.
• Previous experience selling home improvements, remodeling, roofing, windows and doors, outdoor living projects, or other high-ticket products is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to close sales during the initial customer appointment.
• Strong prospecting skills and a genuine hunter mentality.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, active-listening, and objection-handling skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a results-driven, commission-based environment.
• Enthusiasm for home improvement, remodeling, and helping homeowners enhance their properties.
• Ability to follow a defined sales process and collaborate with sales management.
• Availability for appointments at varying times, including 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and occasionally 6:00 p.m.
• Flexibility to accept optional weekend appointments based on customer demand.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the greater Tampa Bay service area.
• A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required.
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.

Pay and Benefits

• Be your own boss. Freedom with a 1099 Schedule
• Estimated annual commission earnings: $140,000-$200,000, based on achieving approximately a 30% closing rate. Actual earnings vary based on sales performance, lead source, project mix, and other factors and are not guaranteed. 
• Compensation structure: 100% commission with no base salary.
• TOP Commission PAY rates generally range from 10%-15%, depending on the source and type of lead.
• Higher commission opportunities are available for self-generated business.
• $2,000 sign-on bonus. Eligibility requirements will be provided in writing. 
• Two-week paid draw to provide financial support during the initial ramp-up period.
• Fast commission ACH payments after the customer's three-day rescission period and receipt of the required 50% deposit.
• Paid orientation and comprehensive sales training.
• Company-provided leads, plus unlimited opportunities to increase earnings through self-generated business.
• We are diversified & have many licenses, which means more opportunities for you to grow with us in the 67 counties in Florida.  
• Full benefits are offered after 90 days.
