Clinical Performance Improvement Coordinator

County of Santa Barbara Health is seeking a passionate and experienced health care professional to join us as a leader on the County Health team.

We currently have one (1) Full-Time Clinical Performance Improvement Coordinator vacancy in the Primary Care and Family Health (PCFH) division that may be home-based in Santa Barbara but will be required to travel throughout the County. The County classification title is Public Health Performance Improvement Coordinator.

We are also accepting applications to establish an employment list for future Full-Time, Part-Time, Extra Help and 1414 vacancies for Public Health Performance Improvement Coordinator in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara.

The IDEAL CANDIDATE will possess:

• Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating projects within a healthcare setting;
• Knowledge of data collection methods and experience using data for research and quality improvement;
• Experience with grant writing and reporting;
• Strong technical writing skills, particularly in preparing clear and concise reports;
• Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders, including high-level local and state contacts, as well as internal teams;
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate trainings and actively participate in committees or special events;
• Experience training staff on healthcare best practices and efficiency strategies;
• Experience reviewing and improving policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient care.

About the Program: Primary Care and Family Health (PCFH) program:

The Santa Barbara County Health Care Centers offer comprehensive primary and specialty care services to meet the diverse needs of the community. With five Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) located throughout Santa Barbara County, they provide a range of services, including Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Specialty Care.

Patients of all ages—adults, teens, children, and infants—have access to a wide variety of healthcare services, such as:

• Pharmacy Services
• Immunizations
• Women's Health Services, including Obstetrics, Family Planning, and Gynecology
• Well-Child Exams
• Physicals for school, General Relief (GR), DMV, and specialty needs
• Health Care Reform Enrollment Assistance
