Press Brake Operator with Setup

You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work. Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. Salary range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Degree or certificate from a vocational school preferred. Experience working with press brake, and sheet metal fabrication machines with the ability to set up and operate. Duties: Performs any combination of tasks to set up and operate sheet metal machines such as Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and Apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock. Skills to look at a print and the parts for that print and follow tooling instructions or programs. Assembles, aligns, and installs tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part. Adjusts for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to read and interpret a tape measure. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
