Product Owner Opportunity

Long term contract consulting opportunity for an experienced Product Owner with Financial Services/Annuities industry experience.

Client requirements:

• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days on-site, Minneapolis area
• Work authorization status: US Citizen or GC holder
• W2 hourly only, no c2c

What you'll do:

The Product Owner will support the End-to-End Annuity Servicing Initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, collaborates across diverse teams, and can translate business needs into actionable product direction.

You will serve as the voice of the customer, shaping the product vision, defining requirements, and guiding delivery teams through the full development lifecycle.

• Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and business value for annuity servicing capabilities.
• Partner with users, delivery teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather needs and convert them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint plans.
• Maintain a transparent, prioritized product backlog that is understood across teams.
• Evaluate trade-offs and impacts in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Oversee work from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Communicate progress, risks, and roadmap updates to leadership and business partners.
• Act as customer proxy for delivery teams, collaborating with Product Management and other Product Owners.
• Methodology: Agile / Scrum

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as a Product Owner

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to influence without authority

• Skilled in negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management

• Self-motivated, organized, and solution-oriented

• Experience collaborating with external vendors

• Financial services background; long-term care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years Product Owner experience

• Leadership experience, including coaching other Product Owners

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)

• Experience with Jira or Polarion (epics, stories, tasks)

The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $55.00 - $65.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
