Labor & Employment Labor Relations Associate

Overview The firm's Labor & Employment group, comprising over 150 attorneys firmwide, advises a diverse client base ranging from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups on all aspects of employment law, including advice and counseling, disputes, international employment, and union management relations. This role is specifically for the growing Traditional Labor team and focuses on traditional labor law matters. Responsibilities encompass advising employers on union organizing drives, conducting vulnerability assessments, and managing strategic communication campaigns. The role involves handling unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, hearings, and related litigation before the NLRB and state labor relations boards. Work includes managing contract grievances, contract interpretations, and representing management in labor arbitrations. Candidates should have experience serving as a spokesperson or strategist in collective bargaining negotiations, drafting contract language, and advising on labor agreements. The position provides rapid-response strategic counseling for labor disputes, corporate restructuring, strikes, picketing, and other workplace crises. The role also involves counseling private equity funds, strategic buyers, and corporate clients on labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence, successorship risks, multiemployer pension obligations, and drafting labor-related provisions.
