Overview Registered Nurse - NICU, Burlington, VT, United States. Travel temporary assignment starting 09/21/2026 for 17 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,391–$2,471 per week. Shift: 12-hour rotating days and nights (3x12), primarily nights with days as needed. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,391–$2,471 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour rotating (days/nights), 3 shifts per week Start date: 09/21/2026 Travel assignment in a NICU teaching facility with newborn and mother-baby care Responsibilities Provide direct neonatal nursing care in a Level III NICU, including newborns, mothers, and related units as assigned Float to newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, attending deliveries, pediatrics/PICU with neonates as needed Participate in newborn rounds and support feeder/grower neonates Assist in deliveries and provide neonatal stabilization and ongoing monitoring Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC) per unit policy and within the past two years’ standards Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support family-centered care and safe patient transitions Requirements Active RN license (state of practice) and ability to work in a hospital NICU setting American Heart Association BLS and NRP certifications required NICU Level III experience required; minimum of 2 years NICU experience Teaching facility experience required EPIC experience within the past 2 years required Travel experience preferred; if lacking travel, experience at a large NICU teaching facility acceptable STABLE and RNC-NIC certifications preferred Ability to float across units (newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, deliveries, pediatrics/PICU neonates) Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and to be assigned across the schedule Reliable transportation required (public transit not available in the area) Benefits and Support Bi-weekly orientations (next available start 9/21) Dedicated travel support and recruitment assistance throughout the assignment Orientation and onboarding coordination Access to travel-wide assignments and support resources No on-call requirement for this assignment Clear guidelines on holiday coverage and scheduling PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
