Registered Nurse (RN) Admissions - 36 hours/week, day/evening shift

Job Summary This position will be responsible for completing the admission process for patients being admitted to inpatient units through the emergency room. This will include a full patient assessment, completion of admission documentation, and completion of medication reconciliation. The nurse will have regular dialogue with the inpatient and ER departments regarding any information regarding the patient and admission. The candidate will also develop a clear understanding of the capabilities of each inpatient unit and will assist bed coordination in ensuring that each patient is admitted to the appropriate level of care. This position reports to the Clinical Resource Nurse manager. Responsibilities Complete the admission process for patients admitted to inpatient units through the emergency room. Perform full patient assessment and complete admission documentation. Reconcile medication information. Maintain regular dialogue with inpatient and ER departments regarding patient admission details. Understand capabilities of each inpatient unit and assist with bed coordination to ensure appropriate level of care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license. Acute‑care hospital experience. Proficiency in BLS, ACLS and telemetry. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills. Compensation Pay Range: $37.00 - $84.71 per hour. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. All staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment. Location Beverly, MA – 35 miles northeast of Boston.
