Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and effectively review medical histories to establish a thorough understanding of each patient's condition.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging studies to form accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute health conditions, including injuries and sudden illnesses.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for chronic diseases, ensuring ongoing assessment and adjustments as necessary.
• Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their efficacy and addressing any side effects to enhance patient adherence and health outcomes.
• Maintain organized, accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to best practices in data management and confidentiality.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health measures, fostering a participatory approach to care.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care practices among our patient population.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to research and best practices within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our urgent care facility serves a diverse patient population, including individuals with acute injuries, illnesses, and urgent health needs. As a Physician Assistant, you will address various conditions ranging from minor lacerations and fractures to respiratory infections and dermatological issues, enabling you to make a significant impact in advising patients on their health and wellness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a Master’s degree specifically in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• Valid Physician Assistant license in New York State, with a current DEA license.
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills necessary for effective patient interactions and recordkeeping.
• A robust work ethic and dedication to working within a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare system.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical coding.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
