Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to tailor individualized care plans.

• Implement and monitor treatment interventions, continually assessing patient progress and making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.

• Document treatment records with precision and on time, utilizing the latest technology to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive treatment strategies that reflect patient needs and desired health outcomes.

• Work proactively to ensure patient safety and symptom management, actively participating in team discussions to promote effective patient engagement.

• Coordinate referrals, serving as a critical link between patients and additional treatment providers, fostering strong professional relationships within the healthcare community.

• Mentor students, interns, and new team members, contributing to the cultivation of knowledge and skills within our organization.

• Engage in peer reviews, clinical collaboration, and support team development initiatives under the guidance of your clinical supervisor.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will provide mental health support primarily to individuals and families dealing with the emotional challenges arising from cancer diagnoses. You will leverage evidence-based practices that ensure culturally sensitive and comprehensive mental health care suited to the diverse backgrounds of our patient population.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience providing mental health services in an outpatient setting or familiarity with oncology-related mental health issues would be beneficial. Understanding the unique psychosocial challenges faced by cancer patients and their families will allow you to deliver the most effective care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
