Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients effectively. A typical work schedule includes Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using client-centered techniques to identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans, employing evidence-based practices.

• Utilize various therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress, adapting techniques to suit each client’s unique circumstances.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records while ensuring adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

• Work collaboratively with a treatment team to deliver integrated care, attending regular case consultations and peer review meetings to share insights and improve service quality.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families, offering valuable resources and information about mental health conditions, treatment approaches, and community support options.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Addiction Recovery Counseling, you will engage with a diverse client base, assisting individuals from various backgrounds who are coping with mental health disorders. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic interventions to suit clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and related conditions, ultimately guiding them on their path to recovery and enhanced well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A completed Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Demonstrated ability to apply solution-based psychotherapy techniques that are tailored to meet each client’s specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a treatment team.
