Account Director (North America)

Fight or Flight is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Account Director to join our rapidly growing North America team. This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing B2B communications agencies in the world. So, if you’re a savvy media strategist with a passion for applying creative thinking to B2B challenges, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment and is keen to make your mark in a global business, we want to hear from you. About Fight or Flight: Fight or Flight is a fast-growing integrated communications agency that helps B2B brands deliver greater business impact. Our services include everything from media relations, social media, content creation, research and insights, sustainability advisory, to account-based marketing. Our NA-based Fight or Flighters (“Foffers” for short) typically work from home. Although we are remote-first, we come together regularly as a team from across the country for in-person meet‑ups. At Fight or Flight, you would be: • Developing and delivering creative campaigns that can be executed across an integrated mix of marketing channels for maximum commercial impact • Driving media campaigns for clients ranging from household name brands to scaleups • Constantly monitoring the media agenda to identify opportunities for clients • Speaking with media on a daily basis, pitching fast‑paced and newsworthy stories • Directly speaking and partnering with clients, sharing insights on their industry and providing sound counsel • Managing and mentoring team members, including training junior staff in media relations best practice • Playing a role in new business pitches What we’re looking for: • A minimum of 7-8 years of B2B/corporate communications experience (previous PR/marketing agency experience preferred but not essential) • A proven track record in media relations – strong media relationships, knowledge of how different media work and examples of standout coverage • Experience delivering effective integrated media strategies for B2B brands • A strong client counsellor – someone who is comfortable counselling clients, with experience serving as primary day‑to‑day client contact in previous roles • A solid writer with experience in writing media‑ready materials (press releases, bylines, pitches etc.) • Someone who has their finger on the pulse of the media agenda • A confident multi‑tasker who is excited and motivated working in a fast‑paced environment • Someone who is comfortable working in a flat‑structured, meritocratic environment • A commitment to learning and applying AI responsibly and creatively through our CREATE principles: • COLLABORATE : Humans AND (not OR) AI • REMAIN TRANSPARENT : Be open about your AI use • EDUCATE : Be curious, share tools and learnings • ADD VALUE : Enhance your insights and creativity • TRANSFORM PROCESSES : Streamline workflows & improve efficiency • ETHICALLY OPERATE : Respect privacy, data security & client contracts We offer a generous package of benefits including: • 25 days PTO, as well as an extra day off to celebrate your birthday • A working from home contribution of $1,000 per year for the equipment you need to turn your home office (or bedroom) into a PR nerve center, as well as money to help with monthly internet and phone bills • Medical, Dental and Vision • 401k (with employer match) • Paid Maternity Leave The annual US salary range for this role is: $110,000 – $130,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will be determined by factors including location, experience, qualifications and expertise.
