Work Environment

You will work onsite in a hospital setting, facilitating direct patient care in a vibrant healthcare community. Our facility boasts modern equipment and a collaborative atmosphere, fostering relationships with other healthcare professionals such as occupational therapists, physicians, and nurses. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute treatment plans crafted by supervising Physical Therapists, tailoring interventions to meet each patient's unique rehabilitation goals.
• Support patients during therapeutic exercises, utilizing your skills in manual therapy and functional mobility training to ensure optimal movement and performance.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy, to enhance patient recovery.
• Regularly monitor and accurately document patient progress, effectively communicating changes and challenges to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques, encouraging adherence to prescribed home exercise programs for successful recovery outcomes.
• Maintain precise and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations, demonstrating your commitment to patient privacy and care standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to guarantee cohesive and effective care management for all patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and neurological disorders. Our patient population includes young athletes, seniors, and individuals seeking to improve their functional mobility and quality of life following injury or illness. Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

• Proficient in maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring a compassionate and patient-centered approach in all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings, although new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
