Case Processing Analyst

Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 7/28/2026 Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst performs analytical work requiring in-depth knowledge of background check processes and program requirements. The Analyst I utilizes strong analytical skills and program expertise to efficiently manage and process background check applications. This position involves independently handling a full caseload, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, in compliance with regulations, and within established timelines, while consistently delivering high-quality results. Qualifications Knowledge of CCLD licensing laws, regulations, and procedures. Experience with background check case management systems, including Licensing Information System (LIS). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common software programs. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Teamwork and interpersonal skills. Desirable Qualifications Ability to appropriately apply current laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Ability to interact in a team environment professionally with integrity and respect. Ability to balance multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff. Excellent attendance and dependability. Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems. Knowledge of CCLD laws and regulations. Minimum Requirements: The Analyst I classification as defined in the Court Pay Scale. The specific salary ranges are: $3,861.00 – $4,839.00 (A) $4,181.00 – $5,233.00 (B) $5,014.00 – $6,276.00 (C) Work Location: Hybrid. Minimum California residency required. Telework eligible per CA Gov. Executive Order N‑22‑25. On‑site location in Rancho Cordova, CA with free parking.
