Accounts receivable specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused B2B Collections Specialist to join our team in Burlington, NJ. In this role, you will manage commercial client accounts, perform high-volume outbound collection calls, handle cash application, and ensure seamless customer service with commercial clients. Qualifications

• Experience: Direct B2B collections and leasing experience required (first-party commercial collections experience preferred; non-3rd-party background).
• Accounting Skills: Demonstrated experience with basic accounting functions and cash application procedures.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal customer service skills and business writing abilities.
• Education: A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Schedule & Location Requirements

• Location: Burlington, NJ 08016
• Training: 100% on-site presence required for the first 30 days.
• Hybrid Schedule: After 30 days, required in-office days are Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays (subject to business needs).

Responsibilities

• Commercial Collections: Conduct heavy outbound B2B collection efforts to resolve outstanding account balances and maintain healthy aging reports.
• Customer Relations: Deliver professional, high-touch customer service in every interaction, resolving billing inquiries promptly via phone and email.
• Cash Application & Accounting: Process daily incoming payments, reconcile cash applications, and maintain accurate ledger entries.
• Lease Management: Apply leasing experience to manage structured payment agreements, contracts, and account reconciliations.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Draft clear, professional written correspondence and collaborate across departments using Microsoft Excel and Word.
