Key Responsibilities of the Billing & Collections Specialist
As a Billing & Collections Specialist , you will:

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
• Review billing information to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances
• Conduct collection efforts through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate account records
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and customer accounts
• Work closely with customers and internal departments to resolve outstanding issues
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities and account status
• Prepare aging reports and provide updates to management
• Support month-end close activities related to billing and accounts receivable
• Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed

Preferred Qualifications of the Billing & Collections Specialist

• 2+ years of experience as a Billing & Collections Specialist or in a similar accounts receivable role
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, and cash application processes
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to professionally handle difficult collection conversations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
