LPN Wing Supervisor

Job Summary

Under the direction of the RN Supervisor, the LPN Wing Supervisor provides resident care, administers medications and treatments, and supervises Nursing Assistants to ensure quality care and compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is passionate about working directly with residents and supporting their daily needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and document medications, treatments, glucose checks, vital signs, weights, and other ordered care.
• Transcribe physician orders and maintain accurate resident documentation.
• Review and update resident care plans based on current condition.
• Monitor and report significant changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor.
• Assist physicians with rounds, examinations, and treatments.
• Collect laboratory specimens and coordinate delivery as needed.
• Supervise and direct Nursing Assistants to ensure proper care is provided.
• Monitor CNA documentation, job performance, and infection control compliance.
• Adjust staffing assignments as needed and assist with team conferences.
• Assist with orientation and training of new nursing staff.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate census, medication/narcotic counts, and resident belongings inventory.
• Assist with resident transfers and post-mortem procedures when required.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized treatment areas and resident environments.
• Assist with direct resident care as needed.
• Attend required in-services, staff meetings, care plan conferences, and committee meetings.
• Support quality assurance activities and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license or temporary work permit required at time of interview.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Nursing home experience is a plus.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of medical asepsis, body mechanics, resident personal care, equipment use, observation, documentation, and nursing principles highly preferred.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Professional, courteous approach toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Ability to comply with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required.
