Position Summary The Maintenance Coordinator manages maintenance of TCA Health facilities and grounds, maintaining a safe and clean environment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, vendor oversight, and staff supervision to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform repair tasks across all TCA facilities. Conduct routine maintenance of buildings, including structural repairs. Repair plumbing leaks to prevent water damage. Fix minor electrical fixtures and maintain safety lighting. Maintain HVAC equipment for climate control. Apply preventative measures such as roof sealant and filter changes. Address potential safety hazards. Provide painting services when surfaces fade or chip. Coordinate system repairs and monitor performance. Manage parts inventory and order supplies as needed. Ensure timely upkeep of preventative maintenance and repairs of vehicles, buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems. Ensure operational effectiveness of mechanical and electrical systems. Keep all facilities clean and hygienic. Conduct regular walk-through inspections and take corrective action. Coordinate with contracted landscaping, snow removal, waste management, cleaning, and exterminator services for compliance and quality. Complete tasks such as painting, plumbing, HVAC repairs, light carpentry, drywall, electrical repairs, furniture installation, and office relocation. Support the facilities manager with construction and maintenance project proposals, budget estimates, and contract negotiations. Oversee, supervise, and train environmental technicians and maintenance staff. Maintain equipment audits, inventory records, and policies. Coordinate implementation of new construction or capital projects. Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols. Implement workplace safety and risk policies. Perform additional related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises environmental technicians, drivers, and related staff and interns. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, facilities management, or a related discipline; healthcare facilities management experience required. Vocational certifications in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or electrical services with at least 2 years of experience may substitute for a bachelor's or associate degree. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Strong understanding of inventory and supply management. Demonstrated leadership skills with at least 1 year in a supervisory role and familiarity drafting and understanding blueprints. Effective people management skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Capacity to lift and move at least 50 pounds. Project and time-management capacity. Minimum 3 years of facility or custodial experience, preferably in a health-care setting. Physical Demands Requires standing, walking, and lifting regularly.
