Real Estate Accountant

Title: Real Estate Accountant Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 + discretionary bonus Why This Opportunity Stands Out Join a stable and growing real estate firm with a collaborative, tight-knit team environment High visibility role working directly with senior leadership and property management Hands-on exposure to property accounting, tenant billing, lease administration, and construction-related accounting Strong training and onboarding with the opportunity to take on broader accounting responsibilities Long-term growth potential within a company experiencing continued expansion and internal growth Real Estate Accountant Key Responsibilities Manage tenant billing, billbacks, construction-related charges, and one-time billing items Maintain tenant ledgers and ensure accurate and timely billing Review lease abstracts and support new lease setup and activation Assist with CAM reconciliations and annual tenant billing adjustments Support tenant move-in and move-out accounting and documentation Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end accounting activities Partner with property management and leasing teams to resolve accounting and tenant-related items Provide additional support across property accounting functions as needed Real Estate Accountant Qualifications Experience in real estate accounting, property accounting, or a related accounting role Yardi experience required; QuickBooks experience is a plus Understanding of tenant billing, lease terms, CAM reconciliations, and billbacks preferred Strong accounting fundamentals with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and competing priorities Comfortable working in a fully in-office, team-oriented environment
