Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services, including assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling to students with emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Develop and implement integrated care plans in collaboration with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.

• Conduct brief, evidence-based screenings and arrange for more detailed assessments when necessary, ensuring decisions are made based on best practices.

• Maintain a caseload of diverse clients, tailoring treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual.

• Monitor client progress, including admission and discharge criteria, and ensure timely documentation of services provided.

• Provide crisis intervention as required, using de-escalation techniques and other therapeutic interventions to support students in immediate distress.

• Participate in team meetings and committees focused on improving agency service delivery and enhancing the quality of care.

• Actively engage in professional development and continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily focus on students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, many of whom experience barriers to mental health services. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of childhood and adolescent mental health, including symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. As such, the LCSW must demonstrate a commitment to working in underserved environments and be able to empathize with and support clients from diverse traditions and beliefs.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience providing social services or counseling in mental health settings.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology for client management.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
