Sales Engineer / Assistant Sales Manager - Electronic Components

Position Summary:

A global electronic components manufacturer is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer or Assistant Sales Manager to join its the company's US team.

The position level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience.

For the Sales Engineer level, we are open to early-career candidates, including recent graduates with a technical or engineering background who are interested in developing a career in technical sales.

Candidates with several years of B2B sales experience, particularly within the electronic components, electronics, automotive, or manufacturing industries, may be considered for the Assistant Sales Manager level.

This position will work closely with customers, engineering teams, internal departments, and overseas manufacturing operations to support existing business and develop new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Develop new business opportunities and new customer accounts.
• Prepare sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and product information.
• Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales process.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Customer Service, Procurement, Accounting, factories, and warehouses.
• Support product demonstrations, evaluations, and customer technical discussions.
• Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Support sales forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and customer agreements.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and customer records.
• Support achievement of sales and revenue targets.

Additional Responsibilities for Experienced Candidates

Candidates considered for the Assistant Sales Manager leve l may also be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing sales strategies.
• Preparing annual sales forecasts and monthly sales activity reports.
• Managing and developing key customer accounts.
• Negotiating annual contracts and pricing agreements.
• Supporting and training sales representatives.
• Monitoring sales performance and sales-related expenses.
• Supporting the development of new markets and business opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Recent graduates and early-career candidates may be considered for the Sales Engineer level.
• 3~5 years of B2B sales, technical sales, or account management experience is preferred for experienced-level candidates.
• Experience in electronic components, electronics, semiconductors, automotive electronics, or related technical products is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand technical products and communicate product benefits to customers.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both U.S. and international teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.
