This remote role offers the opportunity to manage the financial operations of a family’s wealth and investments. Important Note: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight: Manage daily accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of accountants, fostering growth and ensuring high performance. Tax Compliance and Planning: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate tax filings and assist in strategic tax planning and reporting. Investment Reporting: Oversee accounting for investments across asset classes such as private equity and real estate, ensuring precise tracking of valuations, distributions, and returns. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and liquidity to maintain operational efficiency and financial stability. Internal Controls: Develop and enforce financial policies and controls to protect assets and ensure compliance. Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits of financial statements. Financial Planning & Analysis: Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to senior family members to support strategic decisions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: At least 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role, ideally within family office or private wealth management settings. Licenses/Certifications: CPA designation preferred. Additional certifications (CMA, CFA, CFP) are a plus. Skills: Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and investment accounting. Proficiency in accounting software; Oracle experience is a plus. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling). Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
