Assistant Controller, ABF

A top-tier alternative investment platform is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its growing credit business. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to sophisticated fund structures and work closely with senior leadership in a highly visible finance role. Job Description Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple private credit fund structures, including SPVs Review and approve month-end closes, allocations, accruals, and management/incentive fee calculations Manage valuation reviews and coordinate with third-party administrators to resolve discrepancies Oversee audit processes and review financial statement preparation Support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements Prepare internal reporting related to AUM, revenue, and performance metrics Review borrowing base activity, treasury functions, and cash management processes Partner cross-functionally with legal, compliance, tax, operations, and portfolio management teams Review fund documentation related to launches and amendments Oversee junior team members responsible for accounting records and monthly reporting Requirements / Qualifications 6+ years of Big 4 audit and/or private fund accounting experience Direct credit fund experience required CPA required or all parts successfully completed Strong academic track record with top performance ratings Deep understanding of private fund accounting and financial reporting Experience managing audits, valuations, and fund administrator relationships Strong systems proficiency; alternative investment platform experience preferred Ability to work onsite in NYC 4x per week Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Mission Staffing
