Assistant Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a hands‑on Assistant Controller to support a growing manufacturing organization. This role will own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close process, supervise the accounting team, and partner closely with cross‑functional leaders, including private equity stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing accounting experience, SAP exposure, and a collaborative leadership style. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the full month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; review work and ensure strong internal controls Support manufacturing accounting activities including inventory, standard costing, variance analysis, and production reporting Serve as a key liaison to private equity partners, auditors, and external advisors; assist with audit requests and reporting packages Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices, particularly within SAP Assist the Controller with ad hoc analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA‑track strongly preferred) 6+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Proven experience owning and managing month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close SAP experience highly desired Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team Experience partnering with private equity, senior leadership, and cross‑functional stakeholders Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting Detail‑oriented, hands‑on, and comfortable in an onsite, fast‑paced environment Compensation: $120,000-$125,000 Benefit offerings for full‑time employment include medical, dental, vision PTO is offered on an accrual basis Paid Sick Leave where applicable by State law If you are interested in this position or any other Accounting and Finance career opportunities, please apply and contact Kellie Sclafani at View email address on click.appcast.io.
