Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. The Audit Manager will plan, execute, and oversee financial and operational audits to ensure compliance, accuracy, and risk mitigation. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients. A professional designation such as CPA or EA is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality work products.
• Develop comprehensive audit plans, determine scope, and allocate resources based on client needs and risk assessments.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to develop team capabilities.
• Perform and review substantive testing, control testing, and analytical procedures; evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and identify areas of risk.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings, recommendations, and remediation plans to clients and senior management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as a primary point of contact for audit-related matters, and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, participating in client meetings, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and staffing to ensure engagements are delivered within scope and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MAcc, MBA) preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation highly regarded; active certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting audit experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and relevant regulatory requirements; experience with SOC, internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) a plus.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with experience mentoring and developing staff.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical audit skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with audit software and accounting systems; experience with ACL, CaseWare, IDEA, or similar tools preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
