AI Support Specialist

Position Summary The AI Support Specialist is an entry‑level position that provides support in research, evaluation, and coordination of AI initiatives across the organization. The Specialist identifies and assesses emerging technologies, organizes and synthesizes research findings, documents user insights, and assists departments in exploring practical AI‑driven solutions. Through collaboration and administrative support, they advance thoughtful and effective adoption of AI tools throughout the organization, enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation. Responsibilities Assist with conducting research on AI tools by gathering key information, including features, pricing structures, and technical requirements. Compare AI solutions using standardized checklists and evaluation templates developed by senior team members. Monitor vendor websites and release notes to identify new capabilities that align with organizational needs. Prepare concise, well‑structured research briefs for IT leadership summarizing findings and recommendations. Document user experiences from AI demonstrations and pilot trials to support senior staff evaluations. Engage with departments to understand business needs and translate them into clearly defined research objectives. Organize and maintain AI research materials, including notes, screenshots, and comparison matrices. Develop side‑by‑side comparisons of AI solutions based on documented functional and technical requirements. Track emerging trends in AI‑driven productivity and automation, highlighting relevant developments for review. Support small‑scale AI pilot initiatives by gathering user feedback, compiling results, and assisting with evaluation summaries. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree or coursework in Information Technology, Business Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of AI concepts such as chatbots, automation, or machine learning fundamentals. Aptitude and eagerness to learn and grow in the technology field. Ability to research technology topics and clearly summarize findings. Skill in organizational and time management with attention to detail. Ability to follow structured processes and checklists. Ability to learn new tools and technologies with guidance. Skill in written and verbal communication. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn AI‑related tools.
