POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics starting September 1, 2026. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching evidenced by peer and student evaluations; have experience and/or interest in teaching and curricular development in on-line or hybrid formats; and have corporate or consulting experience in US organizations and an interest in building relationships with business partners and other external stakeholders. As the department has a rich portfolio of programs, we seek candidates who can be effective in teaching across all programs -- both introductory and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and in multiple modalities (in-person, asynchronous, or synchronous online) based on departmental needs. Teaching Faculty are responsible for teaching eight courses each year, student advisement, and professional development. The position is a two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures. QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field. Teaching experience in specific areas of Economics, particularly Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, is required. Effective candidates should demonstrate a clear approach to engaging students and conveying complex economic concepts. SALARY RANGE Commensurate with experience STARTING DATE September 1, 2026
