Inspector - 1st Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking an Inspector – 1st Shift Location: Glenolden, PA. Core hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday–Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $24 per hour. Salary information is a general guideline only; final compensation is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations. What you’ll do In this function, you will: Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement equipment. Use thorough knowledge of measurement systems and techniques, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Be familiar with the requirements of ISO 9001 and AS 9100. Interact with co‑workers and customer representatives. Perform verification inspections of Eaton’s supplier’s detailed components. Perform verification inspections of Eaton’s product for compliance with customer requirements. Assist customer source inspectors as required. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing and/or military environment. Minimum of two (2) years experience reading and interpreting blueprints. Experience using precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and thread gauges. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a technical degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machine use and programming ability is preferred. Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Thorough knowledge of GD&T. Inspection equipment programming. Ability to operate a CMM. Surface plate layout. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work overtime when required.
